The software does not interfere with the normal use of the application until the user attempts to print. A screen then appears, indicating how many pages will be printed, and asking the user to enable the print controller, thereby verifying they are a valid user. Once this is done, the user clicks "Print" on the screen, the print controller records the prints made, and the print job is sent to the print queue. The intercepting screen disappears, and the user continues their work.
